How to Cook Steam Chicken
Steam chicken and rice is a classic dish for my family and probably for many other families as well. On this website, I will teach you how to cook this recipe in several simples steps.
First, the ingredients:
10 Chicken drumsticks
4 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons of oil
1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
2 tablespoons of dark soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1.5 cup water
Directions:
1: Heat a wok of water til boiling, add drumsticks in the water and boil till scums come out for about 5 minutes,
2: Take all drumsticks out and rinse under cold water to get rid of scums, pat dry with paper towel
3: Pour out the hot water and clean the wok, then heat till hot
4: Add the 2 tablespoons of oil and chopped garlic into wok, under medium heat, fry till fragrant but don't burn it
5: Add drumsticks into wok, stirring occasionally so they don't stick to wok, for 5 minutes
6: Add oyster sauce to drumsticks and continue stirring for another 2 minutes
7: Add the rest of the ingredients, dark soy sauce, sugar and salt and stir well
8: Add water and then stir for a little more
9: Cover the wok and stew for 20 minutes, check in between and stirring the drumsticks to make sure they're not sticking to the wok and the sauce mixture is not dried up
10: Check the flavor and add a little more salt or sugar according to your preference
11: turn off heat and dish them and enjoy!
